THE NEVA is based on this design by Dr. Aren van Waarde

The frutition of 2 1/2 years of selection/design/construction; and worth every minute. The sound is breathtaking!

ABOVE: Dual Voltage Power Supply

( safety cage removed )

Separate high voltage ( 200VDC ) and low voltage ( 6.3VDC regulated ). Independently switchable/fused with 60 second delay of the 200VDC after the unit is powered-up ( filament voltage MUST be present for HV switch-on ).

Output power cord connects to the amplifier module via NEUTRIK 4 pin XLR connectors and both voltages have test points on the back. All cabling is fully grounded/shielded.

The Neva Amplifier

Uses a glass chimney surrounding a ceramic octal base. The base is suspended in a 2 1/2" opening for convection cooling of the 6AS7G power tube and the circuit components inside the enclosed chassis ( via filtered/screened vent holes in bottom ). Front input jacks are a 'tip-of-the-hat" to David Hafler ( DYNACO ). Dual mono volume level adjustments with all "plugable" contacts gold plated. L/R RCA line-out jacks on the rear ( enabled when headphone unplugged ) allow unit to serve also as a line pre-amp. Side plates are American Black Walnut ( heartwood ); see 'THE FUTURE'.
